This Wednesday, 11 November 2026, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, The Arc Agency brings The-Arc RADIANT to LUMINA at The Tasman, 12 Murray Street, Hobart.
It's our first architectural networking event in Tasmania: an evening where architects, interior designers and building product suppliers come together to discover new materials, share ideas and make meaningful connections.
No interstate flights. No full day away from the studio. Just two hours to discover new products, meet the people behind them and connect with Tasmania's architecture and design community.
From the sandstone warehouses of Salamanca Place to the bold contemporary forms of MONA, Tasmania's built environment reflects a conversation between its history, natural surroundings and contemporary design.
One of the interesting challenges in architecture is creating buildings that respond to their surroundings while meeting the demands of modern living. Material choices play an important role in that balance, influencing everything from how natural light moves through a space to how a building connects with its landscape.
The work of local practices offers some great examples. Room 11's The Glass House and Bence Mulcahy's The Greenhouse offer different approaches to the relationship between architecture, setting and contemporary living.
For architects and designers, these projects are a reminder that material selection isn't simply about appearance. The right surface, finish or material can influence how a space feels, how it functions and how people experience it.
We think Tasmania's design community deserves more opportunities to discover what's available, exchange ideas and connect directly with the suppliers behind the products shaping their projects.
That's why we're in Hobart this week.
